How we handle your data

This policy explains what happens to personal data you submit through this website, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. OptuNex is the data controller for information collected here.

What we collect

When you use the contact form on this site, we collect: your full name, work email address, the topic you selected, and the message you write. We don't collect any other personal data through this site beyond standard, non-identifying website analytics (see below).

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry — to understand what you're asking about and reply to you directly. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries made to us, and, where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

If you tick the separate "keep me updated" box on the form, we'll also use your email to occasionally send you relevant OptuNex updates. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see "Your rights" below) — ticking that box is entirely optional and unticked by default.

Where your data is stored

Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, our website hosting provider, acting as a data processor on our behalf. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain a record of the conversation, and no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is required to comply with a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

Cookies and analytics

This site may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand how visitors use it (for example, which pages are viewed). Where any tool requires non-essential cookies, we will only activate it after you've given consent via a cookie banner. You can decline without affecting your ability to use the site or contact form.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
Object to processing based on legitimate interest
Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we've handled your data incorrectly
